My Story
Hi, I’m Jamie – a professional guitarist, bass guitarist, performer, and songwriter with over 20 years of teaching experience. Music has been a part of my life from a young age. Originally from Peterborough, I went on to study in London, where I gained a BMus (Hons) degree in Performance from Thames Valley University. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to both performing and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
I offer guitar lessons across all major styles – from classical and jazz to rock, blues, metal, reggae, and country. My teaching also covers advanced techniques, music theory, aural training, songwriting, band performance, and exam preparation. Whether you’re working towards ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool, MTB, or other exam boards, I provide expert guidance up to (and beyond) Grade 8. With a 100% exam pass rate, I also support GCSE and A Level music students.
Lessons can be one-to-one or paired, and take place in a fully equipped music studio – a safe, welcoming, and creative environment where students can feel inspired to learn and grow. Alongside private lessons, I also teach at several schools in Peterborough, including The Peterborough School and Southfields Primary School.
My goal is simple: to make music enjoyable, accessible, and rewarding for every student, no matter their age or ability.
Your first 30-minute lesson is completely free, so you can come along and see how it feels. I’d love to help you or your child take the next step on the journey into music!
